Why it’s a sweet spot

Hyatt's published award chart is one of the last in hospitality. Category 1–4 properties cap at 15,000 points per night and often have cash rates of $200–$400. That alone clears 1.5¢ per point; weekend rates in high-demand destinations push it past 3¢. Chase UR transfers 1:1 instantly, so you don't need to earn Hyatt points the slow way.

Known caveats

• -Rates are capped but availability still depends on the property — award nights can sell out at peak times.
• -Resort fees and parking are not covered by award nights at most Hyatt properties.
